Haiti's Plight

Devastation of catastrophic proportions feel upon Haiti on Tuesday Jan 12, 2010 via a magnitude 7 earthquake. What has happened since can only be described as unimaginable. Loss, hunger, despair, pain have been a main theme a week later. Aid is arriving however it's trickling effect I fear will be the demise of many.  What does not surprise me is the extraordinary out pour of monetary donations I believe is a first for our global community. People want to help in any way they can for the most part. I am not going to talk about the anti-support for Haiti that I have seen this past week from several attention addicted radio hosts, to so called Christians and others. Focusing instead on Haiti's long term needs.  I am concerned that as weeks go by Haiti will be less spoken about causing care and support to dwindle. I hope I am wrong, that those who care will make it their personal commitment to be there long term. It's the basic principle to help those who can not help themselves.

Endurance and the will to make things better than when they were found are driving factors that humanity has proven they are capable of, I am hoping that will prove to be true again in this case. Time will be the witness.

Las tecnologia es uno de esos temas que siempre me captura la atencion. Cuando encuentro un enlace que pienso que disfrutaran al igual que yo, pues lo comparto aqui lo cual es el caso con el siguiente enlace: http://tecnomagazine.net/

Puerto Rico Refinery Explosion

Around midnight last night (Oct 22, 2009) at approx. 12:23pm an explosion rocked the Gulf Oil Refinery located in Cataño, Puerto Rico. I have added a search result containing several videos of the refinery fire.

The coalition, Todo PR por PR, has vehemently denied any involvement in this incident. They have also expressed great concern for the families that live near the area of the explosion. To read further comments from the coalition, please read the article posted by PrimeraHora.com.
